The Beeb have now given us an official airdate for 'Asylum of the Daleks; 7.20 p.m 1st September. Plus a five-part mini-episode, beginning 27th August. Full details here, or below the cut
If you can't get it through them, though, you can buy individual episodes through Amazon. Note that they're normally available a day or so late, which may mean you have to practice excessive Internet Spoiler Avoidance, or perhaps just Internet Avoidance.
Spoilers don't bother me. I wonder how much the episodes are on Amazon, though. Might be cheaper than a subscription to other things.
Sorry if it seemed like a stupid question. I am unfamiliar with how cable TV works. I just know we have a basic cable sub that comes free with this condo, lol.
About two or three bucks, if I remember correctly. And, no, it's not a stupid question.
When my husband and I moved out of the apartment that had that same basic-cable deal, we looked at various packages and realized we would be paying about fifty dollars monthly for cable. Considering that as a rule, we only watch Doctor Who and Mythbusters, it seemed like a stupidly unnecessary expense, so we dropped it entirely.
It's only like 10 more days, thank Bog. I'm so glad we finally got an official date. I couldn't have taken another day of people on GB squabbling over it and/or announcing some dodgy website had made an official announcement (usually wrong). I was about ready to go out and obtain a chain saw.
