Arthur really needs the beard on the show.

Semi-OT, but am I the only one who now suspects he was cast at least in part because of how strongly he resembles Alex Kingston?

Because in the last pic, between the eyes, the noses and the mouths, goddamn but River looks like Rory's daughter.

I really, really, really want to agree with you there, because yes, goddamn, but... if River can regenerate, since she's got Time Lord DNA, she won't always look like Alex, and therefore not always like her father's daughter.

True, but we have canon evidence that old "looks" are buried in the Time Lord DNA to be able to emerge later. After all, the Doctor's daughter, created from his DNA, looked just like he did 5 regenerations earlier! I'm using that to hang on to the River-looks-like-Rory bandwagon.

My theory is that River can regenerate her body but her appearance doesn't change... the little girl in TIA/DOTM seems to know what's going on with the regeneration but it's the same little actress.

But just a theory. >_>
