In the US (at least at the school I went to), we had little paper cartons of milk, which were always lukewarm and disgusting. And you couldn't play Daleks with them, even if we had known what Daleks were. : )
The Gaiman interview was so funny. I love stories about kids hiding behind the sofa to watch Doctor Who. My younger brother used to hide behind the dish cabinet in our kitchen, peering around the corner into the living room, where the TV was. I was two years older than him and used to wonder, in my snarky childish superiority, why he continued to watch a show that scared him so badly.
I was squealing while watching this last night! It's always fun watching two people become friends on national TV. :-D They SO have man crushes on each other. :-D
