So Amy Pond has been a doppelganger for a very long time and after last Saturday's flesh-dissolving climax, the Doctor and Rory must find the real Amy- a matter all the more urgent since she's just given birth and sinister Madam Kovarian (Frances Barber in an eye-patch) has designs on mother and child. Stand by for an exhilarating ride through the space/time continuum that is Steven Moffat's imagination. His storytelling moves so fast that at times it feels like an abridgement, but not a second is wasted. Foes become friends as the Doctor and Rory call in favours from unexpected quarters, but one old chum, River Song, is for once relucant to help.
