Matthew Graham Interview from SFX *spoilers*

May 19, 2011 14:24

SFX magazine have interviewed Matthew Graham about his upcoming two-parter for Doctor Who.

Nothing majorly spoiler in there, but if you're trying to learn as little as possible about episodes 5&6, then read cautiously. As SFX say themselves, there are more spoilers in the trailers, tbh.

"You try very hard to put in Mattisms, if you see what I mean".

series 6, magazines, series 6.05, interviews, press, writers, the rebel flesh, the almost people, series 6.06

<333333 Awesome, substantial interview. I think these guys did a great interview with Moff, too. Hopefully there will be more.

I am super-excited for these episodes. Clones! They sound v. dark.

And I know nobody besides me likes "Fear Her," but this guy wrote the edible ball bearings speech! Probably one of the greater things ever to come out of the RTD-era. That's gotta be worth something.

I like 'Fear Her'. Yes, the ending has more cheese than the whole of France, but it's well-acted, has a nice concept that's executed pretty effectively given that the budget was clearly about £5, and, as you say, features edible ball-bearings.
Though several minus points for "everything's coming up Doctor!", I'm afraid.

LOL--well, I'm certainly not going to argue for it being great television, but I thought it was at least above average for the season when I watched it. Imagine my surprise to find out it's pretty much the universally agreed-upon black sheep of the RTD era! That and Love and Monsters, which I also liked more than most. *shrug*

I liked Fear Her up until Rose whispered "Feel the love" and then my love crashed and burned.
