Hi everyone! Now that Dragon*Con 2010 has receded into memory, I thought I'd do a write-up for the comm, seeing as Series 5 got a lot of love this year and it is, of course, relevant to a lot of members' interests. :) Also, I got to meet some of you!

oh man. i left atlanta right before dragon con. i keep leaving just before to go back to school. but i would've been there in my doctor get up if i could've.

I have to admit that I didn't get around to actually joining this comm until AFTER DC, but I DID MEET YOU! I'm even in a few of the pictures up tehre which is tickling me pink. (ToA/FaS short!Amy with the brown lanyard- chatted with you guys on Thursday night too, same costume, pre-lanyard!)

HI! Actually, I have pictures of you too, hold on.... (I know everyone likes pictures of themselves!)

one two three four. Album is here and also has a bunch more from the smorgasboard of post-parade stuff.

As for where I went, uhhhhh. I DID end up upstairs for a while and in a giant ridiculous photoshoot and then I wandered outside for a bit after chatting with another_myself and offering socks & then I think the utter lack of sleep that traveling causes me, especially when my flight is at 7am, plus a fair amount of whiskey finally caught up with me and careened me into the one decent night's sleep I got all con xD

It was fun hanging out with you guys! :D I love the "good twin, evil twin" guys that you found. Also I'm jealous; I of course love my twin sis kalypso_01 to death, but she doesn't do "sci-fi wizard shit", as she calls it ;)

We used to have more similar tastes back in high school but even then we were leaning toward our own things :) Then in college I went the science/math route and she went the classics/ancient mediterranean studies route so I guess I stayed steeped in nerd culture a bit more... and now we live clear across the country from each other. We have a lot of similar interests still, just not fandom.
