This is my favorite story with Nine, hands down. The kids, the war, the dialogue, and most importantly,

Barrowman filled that gap that had been left empty when I realized couldn't fancy Tom Cruise due to the crazy any more. UNF.

These episodes are the only eps of DW that freaked the hell out of me. And I mean all of the televised DW I've seen, including classic. I really end up laughing at the Weeping Angels, but little kids in gas-masks, asking "are you my mummy?" and generally being creepy as shit? *shudder*

These two are seriously my favorite episodes of New Who. Or were before there was a lot of awesomeness in S5 that made it hard to decide.
It was rewatching The Empty Child that started the really big part of my Who obsession a few years ago.

The part with Rose and Jack dancing is one of my favorite scenes in all of Doctor Who, it's so beautiful. And all the music was amazing. ♥

These episodes make me wish Moff had gotten to write more for Nine, not that Nine wasn't awesome throughout his entire series.

God I loved these episodes. I loved them then and I love them now, which is unusual because my opinion of most of the other episodes has shifted over time. But still love them. I love the scene where the Doctor goes on stage to ask about the falling thing and they think he's a comedy act, I love the way Jamie can make phones ring and toys start working. I love the comedy, I love the moment when they've been listening to the tape and they suddenly realise the reel's ended but the voice is still going.

I love Jack. I love the massive use of Glenn Miller. I love the way everybody lives, I love the way the old woman's leg grows back, I love Nancy and her insults to the Doctor's ears and the way she blackmails the guy for wire cutters and the scene where Rose tells her the Germans don't win the war.

I love it all. They're a couple of the most perfect episodes ever. <3
