I often think the media did the most damage as far as fandom division went. They don't seem to understand that it's OK to love more than one Doctor. Still. We know better. :)

Yes, even if you were to compare a full season against a full season I dislike polls of that nature. The media seems to forget that the Doctor is the same person even if he is played by more than one actor. And there is no reason to have to love just one of them.

As I said in another thread, that's like saying because I love one kind of food I can never eat anything else. That sort of thinking is just silly. I love the Doctor. All of him. He's an amazing character in any of his incarnations.

Well exactly. I think fandom is coming around to that notion finally, but the media did a lot of damage with all their horrified shouting about Matt's age and relative obscurity.

And the Guardian hed been so favourable about The Eleventh Hour and Matt's debut, you have to wonder what prompted this idiocy. You can't even comment on the poll to voice displeasure!
