I am pleased to see that things have returned to as it was before anymore unfortunate information was shared.  Then, I suppose that such mysteries would have been solved in time... Whether the truth is known now or later makes little difference.  What is done is done, and I have no regret for my past actions.

You have my thanks, Gabranth, for ( Read more... )

I suppose it's too much to ask that you suddenly develop a conscience.

There are somethings that must be done. How one man feels about those deeds makes little difference in the face of what can be accomplished.

It makes all the difference. If you you're trying to put the reigns of history back in the hands of mankind, it's considered a good thing that there's a mankind to give them back to.

I have by no means decimated all of mankind.

It was necessary to test the Nethicite, to discover it's limitations - without those studies, Manufacted Nethicite would have eluded us! Even with Venat's valuable guidance, there is little can be done without research.

I would never claim that I have no regrets. However, the things I have done that most would deem questionable or even acts of madness... have been done for the sake of a cause.

For these, I have no regret.

What I have done, I have done in the interest of mankind.

In acquiring and studying the Nethicite, I have taken measures that some do not agree with, and would consider unnecessary... However, there was nothing else to be done.

...I cannot believe that a person can regret nothing.

I have said nothing of the sort.

I regret nothing in regards to my actions involving the Empire. What was done was done for a reason - as the lives of Humes are fleeting, there was nothing else could be done, when restricted by such a time limit.

Had I not acted, we would not be so close to achieving our goal, and putting the reins of history back into the hands of man!

Our goal...

Given the change of circumstances we have been forced to endure, what now do you turn your attention to? Here, we may be free from Occurian rule, but their position as overseers has been taken by the scientists. Would you... look toward finding a way back?

An interesting proposition.

While I sought for man to shape his own destiny, I had not intended for this power to be claimed by men such as the scientists. This would hardly be considered freedom, more... a shift in rule, and the ascension of another false god.

While many would claim I go to my death, I would seek to find a way back to Ivalice.

However, Princess of Dalmasca - I would be curious to know why you take such an interest in my own goal... unless you seek such an escape as well, and can only hope that my luck is greater than Ffamran's?

I have many regrets of the past...

Most are related to incidents that were done for your needs...

Most unfortunate, but as I have said, it was a matter of time.

Humes are not gifted with unlimited time, like that of the wouldbe Gods - Had there been more time, such... sacrifices may have been avoided.

Aye, a shame there is not more time. Though as noble as your cause sounds, tis only a shame that it could not be done without the suffering of many people.

An irony that people must suffer for the better.

An unfortunate truth, but a truth nonetheless. Such actions were necessary for the liberation of man. Our hands are now free to shape our own future - surely a worthy cause to give one's life for.
