[There is definitely something off about the plague doctor today. First, he was a bit suspicious of the pumpkins, though found them rather pleasant and curiously well-made. Then he thought he caught a glimpse of one of the old villagers faces on one, but quickly moved on and tried to block it out of his mind

[Which were really demons in disguise.]

Well, yes but I suppose I mean what do these people do? Their professions and whatnot.

Various things, some which would be considered mundane or possibly suicidal.

Aah. Sounds a bit like a physician. Likely not the same, but my job experiences such changes from safety to danger quite often, dealing with the sick and all.
