I love this episode, for all the reasons mentioned above. Rose does something that anybody would have done I imagine. If it was one of your parents wouldn't you have wanted to save them? Nine, just kind of shows how alien he is there.

But I love the way it shows Rose standing up to him, and the fact that at the end, they do forgive each other and I will always always love the way they walk off hand in hand at the end. Gets me everytime.

I love this episode. There is so much development of the relationship between the Doctor and Rose. Yes, they hurt each other, like only lovers can, but they also work things out. Rose stands up to the Doctor in a major way. The end is so bittersweet, but they are both better for the journey.

I think this quote sums up Father's Day:

Love means exposing yourself to the pain of being hurt, deeply hurt by someone you trust. - Renita Weems

That was such an excellent episode- it terms of the the relationship between Rose and her father. It was so bittersweet.

But I also have to agree I didn't care for the Doctor's behavior- especially when he made Rose apologize. She was, well, being human, and I guess The Doctor was being too alien. And I suppose it goes to show he's not perfect- but I still hate that Rose had to apologize.

But setting that aside, it was a great episode. Mostly sad but ultimately uplifting, as Rose held Pete's hand as he died.

But back to the Doctor- dude needs to check himself, before he wrecks himself.

lol
