The short version- Sam broke the last seal by killing Lilith (with his mind). Dean was locked up in this 'heaven-like' room by Zacharia and Castiel. Castiel broke him out, and Dean got to Sam just in time to see that Ruby was the conniving bitch we all knew her to be, and he stabbed and killed her with her knife with Sam held her. Then, Lucifer started to rise, while Sam and Dean kind of held each other. Oh, there was an awesome scene where Bobby totally bitched Dean out for being so emo.

Sure. Most of the good stuff happened in the last 5 minutes.

I totally agree. The first 40 some odd minutes is Dean bitching about not being able to get to Sam, and Sam bitching about how Dean isn't there, and how he has to drink more demon blood.

Sad Angel helps Dean escape to save Sam. Dean is to late. Sam drinks moar Demon blood to kill Lilith. Sam kills Lilith.

Lilith is actually the 66th seal and her death releases Satan. Ruby was in on it. WHAT A TWIST!

Dean rushes in. Kills Ruby. It's too late. The gate the Satan's prison opens. Fade to black. Credits.
