Good case example! And a good example of what the "nurse practitioners" can miss.

I knew there was a reason that we spent hours and hours in medical school learning about the scourges of the early 20th century (diabetes, diptheria, tuberculosis). So we could diagnose them when they show up. They can be managed, but not eradicated.

Gaping my mouth at the diabetes miss.

I'm just a lowly nurse, but still not seeing how they didn't put 2 and 2 together there.
