Were all the girls from Arkansas, or am I thinking of a different story?

I believe they were from Stony Brook, Long Island (probably by the college).

Note how on each side there's six people, with one person in the middle. Cut one side off, and it shows the Seven Screaming Diz Busters, only not screaming. Cut the other side off, there are still Seven Screaming Diz Busters, also not screaming.

Cut both sides off, and one figure is still standing.

Note how prominent the center figure's hood is compared to the others.

I never had all their albums, but I used to feel there was a sort of underlying mythology to the songs... that you could listen to the lyrics and piece together an epic story. Not all of them, of course, but many songs seemed connected. At one point I read that the name Blue Oyster Cult came from a poem about aliens here to pave the way for an invasion and this fit my theory.

By the way, most of the guys I knew way back in that era figured Blue Oyster Cult had some meaning relating to a vagina; the band`s earlier name, Soft White Underbelly, reinforced this. But then, teenaged boys didn`t need much to get them thinking about vaginal imagery.

I only had two of their albums - this one and Cultosaurus Erectus - and I used to listen to Fire of Unknown Origin all the time.

At some point, I think I will be doing Classic Album reviews, with links to YouTube and my usual wild speculation about what the songs might mean. Blue Oyster Cult will definitely be one of the groups analyzed.
