If you've mentioned seeing the new "The Muppets" tv show, I've missed. I found it a lot of fun, and I really enjoy the dissonance of seeing these characters in adult situations.
Last night found them getting smashed after work at a karaoke bar. Sam the Eagle has been stalking Janis, the straight-haired guitarist from The Electric Mayhem. The Swedish Chef was in mufti (he's bald! who knew?) and his turn at karaoke was an actual laugh-out-loud moment.
Another took place at a work meeting the next morning, when everyone stumbled in late and hung over. Kermit asked Dr. Bunsen Honeydew why he and Beaker were wearing each other's clothing. Honeydew replied with something like "What happens after work, stays after work."
I dunno if the 8 year olds plunked down in front of the tv by their parents are going to be amused or not, but I sure had fun.
That last movie kinda turned into Fraggle Rock at the end, with that Ewok party. Yeesh. I like the Muppets, but there's a time and a place for everything, y'know? When Luke fell into that monster-pit, I was half-expecting to see H.R. Puffinstuff come out of the cave.
