I never really mastered the art of the dutch stairs, it got trickier with a sprained ankle to boot in the house I stayed in haarlem, old school tiny winding staircase.

But I was relieved when my Oma, born and raised in the south netherlands looked at them and said "y'know, I have no idea how I never fell down them".

Treacherous things, they are. I call them the Dutch Stairs of Doom.

Dutch stairs terrify the crap out of me. Not literally, fortunately, but they're the one thing I'll forget my elevator neurosis for.
