I never got to visit here, but it was the main beach of Chris' childhood.

This brings tears to my eyes. I've swam in those waters when I was a child visiting my grandparents. It was the first time I found out that ocean water has salt in it (parents were playing a joke on me).

I've always wanted to go back. Now I wonder if there will be anything to go back for. I know there will be, but right now it doesn't seem like it.

Damn, I wish I had visited sooner. I've still never been to New Orleans!

As a little kid, I thought people kept saying "Pepsi Cola Beach." Now, there's an eerie, sad resemblance to that mental image.

I am from Pensacola. I recently moved to Tennessee and I hadn't been back in a little over a year. I was supposed to go home this summer. I mourn the beaches like they were a person. It's as if I am watching it die a slow and painful death. It's terrible and all encompassing.
