it reminds me a bit of a scene from the movie adaptation of saturday night live's "Leon Phelps: Ladies Man" where the old guy is saying "Dont fight over gristled lumps!" which of course turn out to be pickled human turds. that chick is gristled lumps. dont fight over gristled lumps!
I dont think that would end well for poor jerry. he is a fellow tulane alum after all, and having met him, talked to him, and found him a likeable guy I would hate to see him end his life at the wrong end of some buckshot because a redneck forgot to clear his barrel before whacking his girlfriends baby daddy with it.
i don't recall the state, but radio news talked about these two brothers who went to the hospital with bird shot in them, because they shot each other over a fight that started because of a trade they did with a motorcycle and a chainsaw.. neither of which worked...
thats a good one, but I think this story is definitely better. by the way I followed your advice and picked up some microfiber towels. I forgot to pick up the rest of it like the armorall protectant spray because I was exhausted, but even just one of the towels by itself got a good bit of dirt up.
yep, they do pretty good. just be careful, because depending on the grain of the dirt on your car, a dry cloth might cause really fine scratches if the towel doens't pick them up well enough on it's own. still it's better than a regular cloth for this. the particular spray i use if McGruire's Quick Detailer.
past experience. its nothing personal. but basically if I let it go and accrue too many comments a lot more people than the original poster will start bitching and moaning. It was your fellow community members who established that precedent and made necessary what must appear to you to be draconian measures. It really is them you should be thanking. I had no way of knowing whether or not you would edit in a timely manner. feel free to repost without the link in question or with an alternative. but that particular rule you violated is likewise there for a reason. people doing that created a serious problem a few years back that had to be dealt with.
Well, I spent a good five minutes trying to figure out how to link that video. I even looked at the source html for the page, but videos are embedded with some LJ code, and I have found that things like polls don't transfer from journal to journal. I went to the Comedy Central site and tried to find it on there. The "embed" code on the video itself just linked to the top domain "http://www.comedycentral.com".
I understand it's nothing personal, but the thread I linked was only even tangentially related to what I was talking about. I would appreciate it if you would consider letting me know before you're going to delete something. I would have been happy to edit out my edit.
