Ugh, i can't work on this costume in the daytime... goddamnit. It's just too hot to wear it. And i have to wear it in order to make patterns, because i'm a dumbass... Fuck

I usually sew up a body suit out of lightweight cotton, tailor that, then cut that up for a pattern.

Yeah, i'm just no good at any of this sewing/working-with-fabric stuff... i'm an artist not a clothier :-/ ...but, i must do it. And when i do, i will be slightly better at it next time. ...Next time, there are already a few things i'll do differently :P

it would just be so much easier if the human body was a cube... all these curves and lumps mean i can't plan it out on paper first with any degree of precision... Ah, geometry... how lost i am without you.

Here - this is the way that I still work, by and large. This produces a tight-fitting bodysuit with a minimum of fuss.
