Thank you for posting this - I find it really interesting.
A lot of conservative Christians - especially in America, it seems - equal "discipline" with "spanking". These two things are not related - "discipline" is to set limits and enforce these limits. There is no need for violence.
I'm looking forward to your next post on this subject.
