002: Accident [accidental video // action closed to outskirts of new bark]

Jun 28, 2011 19:51

[for all intents and purposes, video feed comes on to reveal static, followed by... well, nothing, really. There's also the audio feed, though, and apart from background music, you'll hear muffled commands from Light.]

Euphrates, use Tackle! [it's not like he's got much of a choice apart from that, really...]

[a series of 'Karp, karp' noises ( Read more... )

[then a smooth motion, as he takes the Gear out, and thus allowing the feed to reveal his handsome self]

[he's a little surprised that it's been recording for a bit, but he'll give you a friendly smile. He's going to need to make sure it never happens again.] Ah, yes, I am.

[Something about this girl is oddly familiar...] I presume you've been here a while?

[giggling a bit as she pushes a pigtail aside]

A long time now. Not as long as my sisters, but long enough!

[while he isn't entirely comfortable with light, not only because he doesn't know him, but just because he isn't often comfortable with people, he still manages to stick ... close by; which, for him, is just shy of being out of eyesight. still, he does have some excuse for that: his poochyena is the one who runs off to attack wild pokemon on its own, so he does have to stray a little ways away to keep up with it.

this time, though, he does manage to return from one of poochyena's aggressive expeditions to catch the tail end of light's battle. he is quiet for a few moments before he speaks.]

You caught it?

Yeah. [he says that, while moving forth to pick up the ball in which his new Pidgey is contained]

How did things go over your side?

Okay... I think. Mine mostly does everything on its own, but he hasn't really been hurt so far.

That's a relief, at least. [a smile, again. The little pooch's expeditions cause them to sidetrack a little from time to time, but since it gives him plenty of time to have Euphrates beat down a few wild Pokémon, he doesn't particularly mind it.] I think he could be a little more obedient, though, if you gave him commands. He seems to be eager to prove himself to you, if anything.

[Clive is walking right by. He does a double take at the Magikarp out of the water.]

So the fish here can survive outside water...[Yup, he hasn't been here long.]

That's right, but I haven't really ascertained if that's because they're able to breathe out of water, or if they can hold their breath long enough. [he notices this, and also betrays the fact that he, himself, hasn't been here for very long either.]

I would prefer to think it's the former--slightly less worrisome that way, considering they're essentially living in those. [He gestures to the Pokeball.] Well, I suppose it could be filled with water too...

Oh, where are my manners? My name is Clive. Have you perchance arrived here as well? [He's just trying to find some people to get along with really. That whole mom thing disturbed him quite a bit.]

I suppose so, but the ball itself is a mystery, so there's probably not much point in thinking too much about it.

I'm Light. [a friendly smile, as usual] Yes, I have. Just a few days ago, in fact.

[You have had a blue-haired spy spectating the flailing battle between your pidgey and magikarp, Light] Nihihi, guess those fish are good for something once they level up!

Hm? [another one. Definitely got to get a lock set up on the device.]

[A beat, and the feed clicks on to reveal his handsome face.] They aren't half bad, really. [just largely useless if his Magikarp wasn't already special as it is, to have tackle before Level 15]

Nyaah, I prefer weapons that are strong from the start.

[410 counters, grinning maybe just a bit unsettlingly as she pulls a ball from her belt and lets it drop to the ground. There's a flash of white before a very....very large form appears behind her. A patient-looking Tropius cranes it's neck in order to peer into the camera of her pokegear]

[a helpless little shrug] I can't say I don't understand that sort of thinking.

A Tropius, huh... That's nice to have. [It'll provide for some of his and his pokémon's daily needs, if anything.]
