:: Having managed to steer clear of the recent Katamari disaster, he decides to kill a little time and find a few cleaning supplies. After checking a few of the least deadly-looking doors, he finds one which appears to be a closet. It's a relatively small storage room which is crammed full of things that seem to have no organizational principle,

Never realized how much stuff people los--hey are those my glasses?!
*he steps over a few piles of random junk and picks up a pair of old, taped together glasses* Huh, I think they are...

*oh, realizes he hasn't met this person yet... but on the other hand, he appears to be normal, and that doesn't pique his growing interest in the weird, here* Oh, excuse me. My name is Mikami Teru, and I don't believe we've met yet.

*he glances over at Mikami, and flashes him a small grin* Yamamoto Seiji. A pleasure to meet you.

Hmm? *notices a beat up scientific calculator on the shelf, stares at it*
Calcy!?
*grabs it and stares* But...! It broke...

I suppose it's strange enough. Still, the fish died, and it's here.
...Were you sentimentally attached to it?

This is definitely the same calculator... it's not so surprising that the mansion could bring back this, or a fish, I guess.
...Yeah, this... my mom gave it to me. Then it broke after she died and I missed it. *kind of a math genius, Calcy was his bff*

Sorry to hear that. *also would judge him as not being any kind of math genius, but hey, he doesn't look like any kind of lawyer right now*
The fish... wasn't particularly important. Old class pet. Still, I spent quite a lot of time trying to keep it alive. And now I get to worry about it here, apparently.
I'm trying to figure out what it is the room's trying to give us. A way to access items from our past lives would be extremely useful, unlike... *shakes fishbowl a little* ...this.

...I hate this place.
*he takes the jar and makes his way out*

For a moment, he doesn't see anything, but then he notices... ohjeeze, was that old or what? He picks up a book from one of the shelves, grinning broadly. This was his favorite book, one that he'd read over and over at Wammy's. For a while, you couldn't have seen him without his nose in it; he'd sit in his room and reread it with a pile of chocolate bars and his mp3 player... He sort of hugs the book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and steps back a little, glancing at the others decently for the first time.*
Mister Dress Matt! *He tackles Matt's feet, grinning, his tail waving around*
I missed ya, where've ya been? Didja find yer Near?
...Ohhhh, heeeey Mister Crazy Guy! *Refering to Mikami*
Haven't seen ya in a while.
*Glances at Yamamoto* ...Don't know ya, but ya look kinda nerdy. Heya, Mister Nerdy Glasses guy!
Reply
...I'm not nerdy!

*leans down so he can rub behind Mello's ears, grinning* I'm doin' great Mello. And I did find him, and haven't let him disappear again~

Mm? What seems to be so interesting? ( takes a look in )
....Well. ( reaches into closet and pulls out a rather colorful tie )
I haven't seen this for years... ( smiles )

It's quite something, isn't it? I was wondering if there was some way we could goad the room into giving us things that were actually useful perhaps a DEATH NOTE, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I doubt each of us could even find more than one thing that belonged to us.
That's a... unique tie. *of course, is trying to downplay the fact that he's carrying a fish*

Thats a lovely fish.

I would think it's the real thing. It makes just about as much sense as anything else in this place, and it would seem as if our sentimental attachments to these objects plays a part in what's bringing them here.
*feels ridiculous, again, and is fleetingly reminded of a stupid American movie which featured an insane man and his pet goldfish.*
Heh. She--it--was an old class pet. I used to spend a lot of time making sure no one tried to feed it candy or soda. *sigh* Then no one was able to take it home for the summer, and it... caused me some distress, when our teacher euthanized it. Dumped a bottle of cleaning solution in the tank. *taps glass again* Other people have had broken things restored by this room, though. I'm not giving up on trying to see what it can do.
