I have to admit to being a bit blindsided, actually.

[He tactfully ignores any tears that may or may not be there.]

Luckily for all, Misa's cheesecake is long since been eaten. She enters the room in her nightgown-esque shirt if not only because she had seen a Light walk into it as she was rounding the corner and Misa being Misa, couldn't resist.

The moment she walks in, it hits her. She turns her gaze to the sky, as if there was some invisible god lounging on a cloud and sipping lemonade.

"Is that why you had me follow him? You're projecting, aren't you?"

[curtainwizard]

[Misa catches Light's eye as he comes in, of course, and - despite what that woman thinks, it's not alarm. At least she's done with that cake. But what is she going to make of this?]

Misa. She still hasn't let you find any clothes?

[saccharinesugar]

She sorta...freezes at the sound of his voice. Then she mentally curses in her head. You douchebag. You're torturing me here!

"...apparently not." She lifts up her sleeves. "Do you think it's inappropriate?"

[curtainwizard]

I think it's riotously inappropriate. But it's not your fault, is it? It's hers.

[He's doing a very good job of appearing entirely unbothered - but it's interesting that even in here, Misa cares what he thinks.]

[curtainwizard]

[This is the third time Light's been in here, and ordinarily he'd suppose there would be many more. This room being what it is, however, he hopes it won't happen much more often. How much patience can one girl have?

He doesn't even acknowledge the eyes in the ceiling, just nods to his alternate.]

Light. What do you think?

[refractings]

[He considers his double.]

You know, I thought I was keeping to myself because I wanted to think.

[curtainwizard]

[The considering stare goes both ways.]

She's enthusiastic, yours. Very much better viewed from a distance.

[refractings]

That's one word for it. [The glint in his eyes suggests intense dislike, although he otherwise appears calm.]

It could be worse, I suppose. [He sounds doubtful.] I could have... well. You know.

[In his first few moments in the room, Teru goes through an interesting variety of reactions. Wide-eyed shock, at first, fading into resignation, and then the intent expression of someone listening to a voice from above. Then resignation again, tinged with irritation.]

[One hand waves, languid and elegant; she wouldn't have let him stay away if Teru had been worth staying away from.]

[He's a little more outspoken in here, still.] You realise you only told me not to upset her. I've been perfectly obedient.

So I hear. Other people-

[His shoulders tense; it's one of the worst aspects of the whole business for him - seeing, and being powerless, and having to forget.]

You saw what L said to her, did you?

[Light opens his mouth to speak, pauses, and closes it again.]

She's laughing. She's... laughing very hard. [He looks annoyed.] It's quite loud.

She will not what? [He sounds as though nothing can shock him anymore.]

I got a teenager. She won't be one for much longer, but. [It's not much comfort.] To be frank, I don't think any of them are very intelligent.
