L walked over to Mikami curiously. His Mikami was his teacher in his world and he wasn't sure if this was his Mikami or not, so he smiled and wave.
"Hello Mikami sensei."
He stared at how he was laying down and tilted his head to the side, his ears went back a little.
"You ok?"

Mikami turned his head to look up at the kitty-ear'd!L and thought he was hallucinating. Okay, so he could completely cross off the idea that he was still alive..

He pushed himself up off the floor, and looked quietly at the boy in front of him. He didnt know what to ask or say. Either 'where am I?', 'who are you?', or 'why do you know my name?' would have been the top questions, but instead he asked seriously "...'Sensei'..?"

Ok, so now he knew this wasn't his Mikami, but he still smiled at him.
"Yeah, the Mikami from my world was my sensei..."

He blinks a few times. He furrows his eyebrows a little in slight confusion.

"From. your. world..?",he asks at first, but then his gaze drifts back to the ears.

::Seeing someone lying on the floor isn't the most comforting thing. She approaches cautiously but concerned, keeping her distance at first and poised to run if necissary, though since this appeared to be a Mikami, it was likely not going to be needed::

Mikami blinked a few times and turns his head towards you. He's a little suprised at first, but then he manages to push himself off of the ground.

Dying was a strange thing, wasn't it?

::her eyes widen slightly at the mention of her name, but it quickly turns to a friendly smile::
Oh, you know me, then. And you are Mikami? It's beena while since a new version of you arrived here. Can I help you with anything?

"uhh..." he looks around slightly,"no. I'm just-..."
He looks back at you,"So, where is here, exactly?"

[Matt's wandering around and smoking. He only knows Mikami from the mansion, and this one's pretty clearly new.]

He still is a little disoriented with the idea of him still somehow being alive, so he just looks over at you. "....I actually have no idea how i got here." he says, before finally pushng himself up.

He faces you before asking,"..who are you?"

Matt, hi. [He gives a little wave.] And you're Mikami, yeah?

I think we're just, like, teleported in or something.

"Yeah. Thats me..",he answers, and then frowns a little. He really doesnt like this. The fact that nothing made sense.

"How did you know that?",he asks before looking around the hallway. He glanced back at them,"And where is here, anyway?"

[A's going down the hall and for a brief moment, she mistakes the new Mikami for her boyfriend, Teru.]

Hi, Teru. Are you ok?

[A smiles at him, but then frowns a bit, before she realizes this isn't her boyfriend.]

Oh, jeez, I'm so sorry!! I thought you were somebody else...are you ok? You must be new...I'm A.

[ooc- A's dating another Mikami in the mansion. She doesn't have a name and number over her head, because she SHOULD be dead in her world. FYI. And you're doing great, don't worry!!]

After he sits up right and looks at you, he asks calmly,"...How did you know my name?"

[She's embarrassed, stuttering a bit, blushing slightly.]

I thought you were someone else...my boyfriend is named Teru, and I thought...I'm really sorry!!

He stands up, still looking at you a little cautiously. "thats alright."

He decides to remember the fact that theres someone here who looks a lot like him named Teru as well.

[He's been in the mansion around a year, but this is the first time Teru's ever fully had the experience of meeting himself in a corridor. The doubles he's met have been younger, and rarely around. He's accustomed to being the only one of him.

It's understandable, then, that he's shocked speechless for a moment. The fact that the other self is missing a name - dead - doesn't help, and for some reason all he can think to say is they let you keep your clothes? He doesn't know yet that some versions of him don't die in prison.

What he actually says in the end isn't much better.]

[ooc: Here goes. *takes a deep breath* Not dead yet, still technically a Death Note owner, has the eyes himself, of course, manga canon, hasn't lived through what happened in the warehouse but knows pretty much everything about it (but not what happened in the anime). Mikami whipped his head towards their voice, fully intending on asking them what they meant by being 'new', Until he widened his eyes and was distracted by the fact there was another him standing there...

They had a flash of panic in their mind that only lasted for a millisecond or two, before they calmly looked above their heads. Damn. His eyes were gone, so he couldnt even tell who this person's name was. that couldnt be him...could it? That was impossible.

"....what do you mean?" he looked around the hallway. The thought of this being a elaborate, realistic dream was becoming more and more believable.

[He gestures round them, at the corridor.] This place is called 'the mansion'. It's a place between parallel universes.

He furrows his eyebrows, a look of disbelieving on his face. It's perfectly acceptable to think that theres something after death, but he didnt think that you were just flopped into an alternate world. Much less, just a mansion.
