emo_raito has been moping around the mansion most of the week - he's not taking the breakup with commeo particularly well. he's wandering aimlessly through the hallways today, and he shuffles into an unfamiliar room without actually realizing it. it's a bar - a different bar than any that have already been seen around the mansion - mostly dark, fairly average

[by this point, Light has become pretty resigned to not finding the right room, so he just sighs and rolls his eyes when the door opens to an unfamiliar bar instead of the winter room. when he finds himself walking up to the stage of his own volition, he just folds his arms, looking distinctly unimpressed. when he halts in front of the microphone and the music starts to play, he sticks his hands in his pockets; but when he starts to sing, he drops the irked/resigned attitude a little bit. he's a good, seasoned performer, and of course he's going to utilize that in favour of embarrassing himself by letting his lack of general enthusiasm show.

when the song finishes, he hops off the stage and heads over to emo_raito, shaking his head.] Just so long as the plan doesn't involve killer notebooks, I guess.

Near? Which one?

[emo_raito]

... near. *scowling. he really doesn't like nears right now. any of them.*

why?

Two of them, actually. The blind one, and the one from our world. They were both... close with him. Nat especially was - childhood friends, left home together, they were. It'll be messy.

[firm_detective]

That Mello had stopped his constant physical attacks on the blind Near?

Interesting.

*He has a look on his face that suggests he'd like to say more, but he doesn't continue.*

*light looks utterly aghast*

wait, you mean he was beating up a blind kid too? *shakes his head* i take it back, i'm glad he's dead.

[getting to his feet so abruptly that the chair topples over with a loud crash. he strides off, but halts after a few steps, looking back, eyes narrowed into a glare.] The Near in question really wouldn't appreciate you putting him on a weaker level because of his blindness. Furthermo--

Forget it.

[stalking off.]

*He gazes at emo_raito with raised eyebrows and a hint of disapproval.*

He's right about Near. Perhaps you should follow him and apologize, unless offending him was your intent.

*Deadpan.*

"I take it back. I'm glad he's dead."

oh, jeez. *he sighs and rolls his eyes as he slips off his chair and hurries after reprism*

::she had been listening near by and her expression is sympathedic. She gently touches his arm::
Oh no...I'm so sorry. I...had been wondering why I hadn't seen him around lately.

[reprism]

Thank you. [his entire demeanour is rather stony, forcibly detached.] There probably would have been... some kind of burial, but the mansion took his body.

::she nods:: Yes...they seem to do that rather quickly...
May I ask...were the two of you close?

[reprism]

We were - complicated. Went from disliking each other to hating each other to... I don't know. We weren't close, but I wanted to help him out.

[misamisal]

::she nods:: I understand...from speaking with him...I couldn't help but feel there was something in him that was...really hurting. I'm not sure what it was, but, I wanted to help, too. It was hard to get close to him, though.

Sometimes, The Mansion will bring people back unexpectedly. Don't lose hope that maybe you'll see him again, okay?
