Oh, Matt, it's you! =O At least, that's what I see. You're intelligent, but you don't know how intelligent, and you don't have much motivation to finish stuff... that struck me as very Matt-like, yeah. There's the videogames, of course, and Matt doesn't seem like the type who really digs being bored either.

Also, I totally wouldn't be surprised if Matt was an unorganized ADD kid. =3 And then the dislike of school gatherings = his dislike of going out and stuff... there it is, that's totally Matt for me.

Okay, I do see where the Matt comes from, but you just seem more like Soichiro Yagami for me, if I am able to place a vote for him. You list your compassion first and-what it implies to me, foremost; you're idealistic and "can’t tolerate pretense and fake people." And he does seem like a reserved person and strong against the ill wished toward him, and does seem pretty intelligent and possesses good analytical skills (one must have to be if they are to become the chief of the NPA, I think...) despite not being in the genius main character category. Every human is entitled to his or her basic rights, and they include the right to preserve themselves without any sabotage being done to them just cinched it for me, it's his philosophy almost exactly as many times in the story he is adamant about preserving human lives-in a different way that L, or even Kira goes about it.
