The first thing I really liked about this is how misleading the perspective can be. Light's delusional POV had me thinking for the longest while this story happens in an AU where he has won, rather than the actual canon. (possibly because my eyes skipped the second line on the first read but hey XD)

The language used was just right for the pontification of this situation, comparing the warehouse to a shrine/temple of sacrifice is a nice touch.

And the way the ending brings the whole thing down to earth with a harsh bump is such a clash, it's great. Not just in grandeur, but in writing style. The last two lines compared to the rest is one heck of a juxtaposition, and it's very well executed.
