An AU where L is actually is Matsuda, and the bum-belling detective bit is an act and disguise (turns out this is how L actually investigates--in person, but undercover). And I guess the "L" that Light's interacting with is Beyond or some random criminal that's working for the real L (he could know or not know that Matsuda is really L).

Anyway, I'm not sure where I'm really going with this idea, but I think it'd be a neat thing for Light to try and find out (or maybe he never does). So, here's the egg, go make babies with it. Do what you like, just don't include anything that most of us would keep in the bathroom. :D
