In Mello's Wammy days, he is one hell of a handful. It's up to L to punish him like a proper mentor. Severity of the punishment is up to the anon, but this OP would prefer it to be plenty enough to make a lasting impression on Mello. Bonus points if Mello realizes that he kind of liked being so close to L, and maybe he wouldn't mind another punishment someday.
