I'd love this if the "multiple men" were Light, Mikami and Matsuda. Perhaps Light won because Matsuda is a Kira supporter and totally shot everyone at Yellow Box except Near? And, Matsuda hates Near anyway.

Maybe it's Mello's Mafia guys. Like Mello is like "you could never make it in the mafia, Near" and Near is all "Yes, I can" but he really can't because the moment Mello leaves on an errand this happens.
