Okay, found this link "MP's voting" on Gay.com and figured I'd check out the various MPs voting habits on gay rights. They've worked it out by giving 2 points for voting pro-gay, 1 for abstaining or not being present, and none for voting against, and it's based on 7 major votes over the last few years, like Section 28 (spit, spit, puke ( Read more... )

Our M.P., Shona McIsaac (Cleethorpes) scored 100%!!! I've always thought she was a good constituency M.P. - the more so since she sorted out British Gas on our behalf. 8-)

And Austin Mitchell next door (Grimsby) scored a very creditable 93%. So Lincolnshire isn't a totally gay desert then.

LOL. Unfortunately, I live in true blue territory, which is quite unnerving for a dyed-in-the-wool Liberal of socialist stock. P's used to it, he's from the suburbs. Me, I'm from Labour's heartland and seeing Young Farmers on every corner is a pretty weird thing. Our MP scored 50%, which isn't too bad for a Tory, though. It *could* so easily have been worse!
