Please welcome Professor James Moriarty, of Sherlock Holmes infamy, to your midst. This particular incarnation hails from Neil Gaiman's "A Study in Emerald," so he's a mathematically inclined detective who lives in a world controlled by H.P. Lovecraft's Old Ones.

Yes. It is exactly as crazy as it sounds.

A Study in Emerald was the first Gaiman thing I read, and it's an awesome, awesome story in its own right. I squeed to see someone playing Moriarty.

With all of the massive love for Neil Gaiman out there, I'm surprised there isn't more of a fandom for "Study in Emerald," especially since it's probably his most easily accessible work.

I so need to read that story. I've played Professor Moriarty before, but it was the regular version. Of a sort, at least.

That said? Win and awesome, you are made of it. :)

It's available online for free! In both PDF and audio form! (I recommend the audio, although the poster format is so pretty...) I think there are still links available on Neil Gaiman's site.

Thanks!
