Curséd Treasure -- LOL INSTRUCTIONS
What's going on?
PIRATES. Y'arr! Avast! Etc.etc.
How does this work?
Once opened, the chest will begin to flood the Nexus and begin to call the Kraken. This will not be immediately obvious. Your pup will not go, "Oh! Look! The Nexus is flooding and I think I hear the clarion call of the Kraken in heat."
Since the flood will be coming from the edges of the Nexus there will be plenty of time for your pup to get LOL'd by the curséd treasure. (Yes, the added é is important). The flooding will occur when all the main piratical and plot-running pups are available. Another OOC post will be made at that time. Be patient, we love you.
CURSE? Ack! What?
That's right. The treasure is cursed. If your pup takes a piece, then one of the following things will happen to them:
+ They will turn into an undead pirate - similar to those from Pirates of the Carribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. They will have normal strength, but they will not feel hunger or be able to die. They cannot feel anything - no 'real' touch, no taste, nothing. It's horrible. It's a curse. If and when they are seen under moonlight they will appear as freaky-deaky rotten zombies.
+ They will turn into sea creatures or monstrous people made of sea-creatures, half-sea-creatures, or something similar. If you are not sure what qualifies as a 'sea creature' ASK US. Communication is good. We like to communicate.
What does this curse NOT do?
This curse will NOT turn your pup into a kraken. We already have those reserved for other plot purposes.
Nor will it genderswap, de-age, re-age, turn your pup in to a goat, wreck your boat, slice, dice or julliene carrots. If you are not sure, ASK US.
When will this end?!
The curses will be lifted after the Kraken are dealt with. This means you have a goodly amount of time to play with this.
Who is exempt?
Gods, pretty much.
What if I don't want to participate?
You don't have to! Just don't take something from the chest.
OMG. Why are you so mean/strict with your rules?
All those helping to run this plot think that it is important to try and keep within the tone and theme of what we've chosen to do. For example, turning into a chicken (unless it is the Chicken of the Sea) would not keep in theme.
