Hullo! I'm bringing a post-OotP Harry Potter into the Nexus. I was wondering what the general consensus is towards movie spoilers? I don't plan on referencing outside of the books, but I shouldn't hurt to ask.

general question, introduction

There are rules on spoilers on the community profile, I believe.

Essentially advise you're spoilering, and then LJ cut covers it.

I saw those but I was wondering how much warning is necessary. My version of Harry is book-based, but has movie icons.

My personal vibe [and the mods can tell you if I'm off-base] is that if a story jumps media, the new media is considered spoilery for itself...because they always change stuff from book to movie, and you can't know what they've changed unless you've seen the movie too [which I have --Inigo Montoya].

Just be sure you don't spoil book seven. Otherwise we may have to kill you. :D

Yep, what Indigo said. Spoilers must be cut, even if the book is....four years old now, the movie is new. SO. The mod hath spoken, long live Jombie.
