Thank you, worksofstone! The moment I saw the prompt, I knew what had to be written.

Oooooh, so deliciously dark. The ending really put me in mind of Little Red Riding hood and the Big Bad Wolf. Great twist, and great writing - I was riveted 'til the very end! I'm just sorry Hermione can't seem to catch a break, poor thing.

Thank you, quietspring! Yeah, poor Hermione, but since the prompt was HORROR, I couldn't justify romanticizing the stalking; it needed to be terrifying, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

Wow! This was genuinely horrifying. And it makes brilliant use of a very time-honored device in Gothic lit and horror films: that moment when the one you believed you could trust implicitly turns out to be exactly the opposite.

Brilliantly rendered! I have goose bumps!

P.S. Coincidentally, I spent the entire summer writing a fic for the Dramione Couples Remix, which just recently ended. My couple was Little Red Riding Hood and the Big, Bad Wolf. I approached it from a very different angle than you have done here, but there was still the central idea of Draco as a were-creature (in my story, a fox/wolf combination) who committed acts of terrifying violence. So your story really spoke to me!

Oh, thank you again, Eilonwy1, for letting me know you enjoyed this and that it was really horrifying! Sometimes I worry that themes can be too subjective -- that what I would find terrifying would be completely commonplace for another.

And I've since read your story, THE HUNGER -- whoa! That was simply awesome and fabulous! I bow to YOU!

*blushes* Thank you so much. I'm really thrilled you liked "The Hunger." The writing of it completely consumed me; it was intense!

I know what you mean about subjectivity and not being certain that readers will perceive something the same way that we as writers do. I think we just have to go with our gut, trusting both in the idea and in our ability to convey it honestly. Then, with a little luck, the rest takes care of itself. :-)
