a fascinating look into draco's psyche! the lengths he goes to for family really is astonishing. and you wrote it so well that i don't even feel much sympathy for hermione for being used in such a way without her knowing what kind of evil bastard he still is! :P

Well-constructed, cogent and intelligent. I really enjoyed their banter and bickering. It all sounded so entirely true to character. I'm sleepy as all get-out, but I couldn't stop reading this. Time for bed, now! Thanks for a very entertaining read. Very, very well done!

Wow this was great! Draco is so manipulative! it's awesome. His whole thought process and beliefs were so true to character, he was kind of a jerk yet I still sympathized with him. The way you wrote Pansy was also good, so many times in fanfiction she's written as this evil bitch but in this story we kinda get a feel for the reason she acts that way. Anyways great job!

haha, I'm glad you enjoyed the manipulation! and that you liked Pansy! It always puts me off when she's written as the screechy psycho-bitch from hell, so it was fun to write a slightly more sympathetic view. Thanks for commenting!

First off, how could I not love a story that's prefaced with "epilogue thrown cheerfully out the window"!

Must agree with all preceding comments. And I'll add how very much I enjoyed the dialogue, all of it. Clever, sharp, funny, and very much in character.

Wonderful ending too, that last bit between Draco and Hermione. It was so clearly written, I could actually see and hear it in my head, like the final, very satisfying frames of a really good movie!

Thanks, Mystery Writer, for a most enjoyable read!

I'm so glad you liked the ending! I struggle a lot with romancy type scenes (I'm definitely no romantic at heart!), so it's a relief to hear it came out okay. Thanks for the comment!
