Fanvid: Beautiful Disaster

Aug 06, 2008 11:52

I'm fairly new to both this group and to vid-making. This is my first Dead Like Me fanvid. It features Rube. The song is Beautiful Disaster by Kelly Clarkson.

I hope it's okay to embed the video without a cut. If not, please let me know and I'll put it behind a cut.

Thank you so much!

(And I'm delighted you like the icons, too!)

Always nice to see some Rube focus. Nicely done. Liked the slow-mo Post-it waving.

Though I think you'd have to go a long way to find a song that was less to my taste... ;) But what do I know? I have to watch 'Yentl' on mute so my brain doesn't turn into porridge. -shrug- Music's a subjective thing.

Great job on the video!

Now I know how I'll finally get to see that movie! Much as I love Mandy, I just can't deal with Barbra.

I'm glad you liked the video even though you don't care for the song. I've got another one already in progress that might be more to your taste.

Mandy swimming in the altogether makes 'Yentl' worthy of note. But it really is the most appalling misinterpretation of a very interesting story. Streisand turned it into a cliched rant about feminism, in the context of a deeply patriarchal society. But the story was originally about transexualism, set at a time when such things weren't understood even to the extent we understand them today ( ... )

Oh, how lovely! This song is so perfect for him. Awesome video!

It's fine without the cut, since it doesn't take up a lot of room and/or make the page load slowly for dial-up users. :)
