Withdrawal

Yesterday I finished catching up on all 3 seasons of The Originals, which I finally started watching over new year's weekend after delaying the inevitable as long as I could. I don't care a whit for The Vampire Diaries, but when I first caught glimpse of The Originals, I thought I might be in trouble. And I was. It kept calling to me and teasing me ( Read more... )

And I did. I went to IMDB to see where Daniel and/or Joseph started and I'm only watching TVD eps that they are in, but darn if they aren't in a mega ton of them! But I started last night, I skip forward and back if I need to and it was so sweet to be back in their world in a new way. It will surely be enough to get me through these next two weeks until there is a new Originals on again. As if I had nothing else better to do, I go and adopt yet another show. It's like being an old lady with too many cats.

Your comparison just cracked me up. If it makes you happy, it can't be wrong.
And I still strongly encourage you to watch Justified... that silver fox... Yummy...

Also, our boys will be back soooooon!

Yes. Justified. I need to just write a list so I can keep better track. Unfortunately Netflix isn't streaming that one right now, which means I either need to pay to get DVDs again, or I'll have to pay to rent on Amazon or some other place. It looks like there are 6 seasons? So it's a commitment, like Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy, both of which are also waiting for me, but at least they are on Netflix to make it easy for me. I'll have to look around to see what free options I can find for that one, but I will get there. No worries. Old ladies like me tend to move slowly.

Hooray! I'm so pleased to hear that you've become a fan too. I LOVE the Originals. :) I've only written two fanfics for it so far, but it inspires me to write almost weekly (if only I didn't have a job, kids and husband I'd write more). I sincerely hope you DO get inspired to write something - especially something spanky. :)

Well, I will check out your stories ASAP because I feel like a vampire being starved for blood over here and I need the infusion of stories! I wasn't sure at first if I could write anything for them at all because they are so Shakespearean in their words and actions, but maybe I just needed that time to be in their world first and I'm getting there. The first idea I had was a simple missing scene - and boy was it a missing scene because one episode things were one way and by the very next something had changed. So I'm going to try to reclaim whatever was running around in my head before I saw that next episode, but it was pure family angst that I was mulling over, which I also adore ( ... )

I agree with you - spanky stuff really is easy with this show, because they do say things about punishing each other. LOL - Yes I clearly remember that tub scene. I may have played it back a FEW times to hear Elijah say that phrase once or twice. ;)

I'm not sure if I've posted those stories here on LJ. Probably, but if not, I know I've posted them both on my website here:
http://www.ficwriter.com
And probably on my fanfiction.net page too.

I'm totally excited to see what you come up with! :)

ROFL! Me too! I was so happy to hear someone state the obvious in this situation, I had to immediately back it up and play it again! Twice, I think! But I never would have made it all the way through the rest of the season if I kept that up, so I reluctantly moved on, but clearly I won't be forgetting that. I look forward to lots more pointed statements like that in the future. And now I wanna go home and play it again. :-D But after that, I'll see if I can find that ep that inspired me the first time and try to remember what I was thinking about it. It was so strong in my mind at that time, I should have immediately stopped and written down what they said in my head, but I also wanted to see more. But after they resolved the situation so quickly next ep, I moved on with them. I'll figure something out I'm sure.
