Oddly, I don't recall ever watching the Transformer movie. The TV show, yes, but I would think Optimus Prime dying would have made a more lasting impression if I'd seen the movie.

In particular, I'm referring to the 1986 Transformers animated movie, not the recent ones with Michael Bay...

Oh, yeah, obviously! I don't really count the new movies as the real Transformers.

Ugh, I quit Grey's Anatomy for the same reason. I just couldn't take that Izzy was still working in that hospital after that fiasco. I can handle characters violating the rules of their own universes occasionally, but that was too much. I've never watched again.
