I want to write up a long report about Dragonflight, but I want to get some things done around the house first, and get blogging software installed on my website and post it there.

I also want to research how to enable this journal to pull the entries from my blog, so y'all can keep seeing it.

So it'll be a couple of days, most likely.

We got a phone call at 3:30am this morning. Now, normally getting a phone call at that time would make us mad, but this one was an extremely happy surprise, since the time difference between Iraq and Seattle is large and distinguished. Scalzi once again gives voice to my thoughts surrounding the political circus far better than I could.

We went to Chan's Place in Woodinville for dinner; the kids were fairly well-behaved, the food was good (as usual), and Treanna surprised us by both finding her preferred dish (Sesame Beef) in the menu and by reading her fortune. The joy of this was diminished, however, by the frightfully bad karaoke in the attached bar.

For various compelling (to me) reasons, I have capitulated and installed Exchange internally. Since I do a lot of work in my day job with it, it makes a certain amount of sense.

Richard Biggs (1961-2004) died at the age of 43. I join my voice with the many saddened fans of Babylon 5 (he played Doctor Franklin) in extending my sympathies and gratitude to his friends and family.
