Weatherization Day Around the Corner
After a hot summer in Texas and New Mexico, it’s hard to remember how cold it gets in the winter season. Unfortunately, not everyone in the communities we serve can stay warm during the season, and they need our help.
On Saturday, Oct. 20, the Community Crew hopes to have more than 200 volunteers weatherizing 130 homes for low-income and elderly customers in New Mexico and Texas. This is PNM Resources’ most popular volunteer project so don’t wait to sign up.
The Community Crew will provide all the materials and training. All you have to bring is enthusiasm and a desire to have an enjoyable day. Your family and friends, ages 12 and older, are welcome, too.
Weatherization projects will be taking place in more than 15 communities throughout New Mexico and Texas. Contact your local community liaison to find out how you can get involved.
To volunteer for weatherization projects, e-mail the team leader near you.
Figure it might be good to learn some of the stuff they'll be doing...
If you do, respond with your shirt size. Figure it couldn't hurt, especially with being homeowners like most of you are.
