Oh, Evans. While I do truly understand your objection - really - I think you're taking this one a bit hard. It's freaking McDonald's. McDonald's almost single-handedly manged to destroy burgers for America by turning them into the same bland McFood that all their food is made of.

I, for one, and I think that many if not most people don't think that actual true Southerners eat fried chicken and biscuits for breakfast, no matter what the stupid commercial says. I expect this fried chicken breakfast biscuit to die a horrible death.

That said, now I feel a deep need to go have some McDonald's biscuit things for breakfast tomorrow. Man, I love them bikkits.

I sort of failed to make my point which was "fuck McDonald's, they can't shape public opinion like they want to." Don't worry. I seriously doubt that fried chicken biscuits will become breakfast in America.

You see, you BOTH have it wrong.

The "southern style chicken" is meant to compete with Chick-Fil-A, who sells chicken sandwiches and chicken biscuits. Having lived for ALL of my life in the south, I can rightfully say that nothing compares to chicken biscuits for breakfast. Especially when hungover. Too bad Chick-Fil-A isn't open on Sundays.

Squorch is correct.

Whataburger is also on the same track.

fair enough. but being on the menu of a fast food restaurant doesn't make it a part of the TRADITIONAL Southern breakfast.

One of my favorite things about Chapel Hill was Sunrise Biscuit. So there.
