Oliver brushed some snow off his jacket before he climbed out of the elevator and stepped into the apartment that he, Chloe, and the boys had spent the last week and a half clearing out, cleaning up and getting ready to be lived in

The new floor of the Watchtower didn't have much yet, but the walls and windows were so much brighter, the whole place felt so much lighter and already so much more like a real home, she couldn't wait to make it even more suitable for a family, for their family.
She turned slightly towards the door when she heard him and grinned softly, "it's snowing?"
Grinning at his grin, she got up, cocking her head a little, "you look so excited," like a kid, "is that what I was supposed to guess? Because that wasn't very challenging..."
He nodded, following her and winding his arms around her from behind. "It'll fit," he assured her, pressing a kiss to her cheek. "Took measurements while you were napping yesterday," he admitted. "But that's not all." He pulled her closer to the car and let her go so he could open the door, revealing the boxes of other things he'd had shipped to the clock tower in the last few days.
There were sacks full of small and medium sized boxes, and two large boxes that were in the backseat, taking up most of the room.
Smiling, she stepped closer to the car with him, it was going to be nice to have a tree and a real Christmas after two years without it, especially since the boys and hopefully Dinah would be spending it with them.
When her eyes fell on the inside of the car, however, her eyes widened again, mostly she wasn't sure how he had managed to fit all that in his tiny sports car to begin with, "what's all that?"
He grinned. "Well, there are some baby things in the sacks. But the two big boxes? One's a rocking chair for the nursery, and the other is a carseat," he told her proudly, his eyes bright. He hadn't shopped for any of the big ticket items yet, because that was something he wanted them to do together. But he'd wanted to get them a rocking chair because he'd read the motion was soothing for babies.
As he told her what everything was, she could feel her eyes getting a little teary, there were the hormones again, but she was smiling at him as she reached to hold on to his arm, "you didn't have to buy that my yourself..."
Oliver slid his arms around her, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "Yeah, it's a good idea," he agreed with a nod. Besides, they all knew Clark was out there, and the guy was weather-resistant. The rest of them were not.
At his answer, she relaxed a little, while the other three had been mostly doing regular patrolling, Oliver was focusing on finding anything that could connect Lex to Metropolis, "okay, good," she agreed and hugged him until the elevator doors opened then let go and started moving things into the apartment.
He smiled as he watched her head inside, then he lifted the rocking chair box and carried it into their apartment, carrying it toward the currently empty room they'd agreed upon for the baby's nursery. He set it down then headed back to the elevator to retrieve the carseat. He paused in the middle of the living room and glanced at Chloe. "I think I need to get a different car soon."
He glanced up at her and smiled, pulling out a couple of baby rattles, a stuffed bear, a stuffed bunny, some newborn blankets, a box of chocolates, an MP3 player, and a pair of headphones. He set them all on the table so she could look at them.
Her eyes widened a little as he started pulling things from the bag, walking over to the coffee table, she picked up one of the blankets and smiled at him, kneeling down next to him and looking at everything.
He picked up the box of chocolates. "These are for you," he said, brushing a kiss against her cheek. "They're coffee flavored chocolates. I know it's not the same, but..."
She looked over at him and smiled, taking the box, "thank you," she said quietly as she looked down at it before turning and kissing him softly, "promise I will share."
He bit back a smile, nodding slightly. "Would it make you feel any better to know I already stashed a billion dollars in a savings account for the baby?" he asked quietly. "And another in one for us that's not to be touched unless there's an emergency?"
She smiled slightly and nodded a little, tightening her arms around him and pulling him closer, "thank you," she paused and looked up at him, "you're amazing."
With a deep breath, she leaned into him, "I don't mind spending whatever we need on baby stuff, it's stuff for us that usually bothers me, but I guess, eventually, I will get used to it."
