She and my mother are both responding to this column by George Will. I will, but it may be a longer piece meant for a different forum. We all do what we can to Ku'e when misunderstanding, injustice or ignorance arise. I hope my sisters letter gets printed, but either way I want to share it:

I just picked up a book @ the library called Blood Struggle: the Rise of Modern Indian Nations. It documents how the U.S. gov't, once again, took land that was not theirs to begin with by unabashedly manipulating people using whatever means.

It is hard to fathom how anyone could justify such oppression of others. I hope your mother's article gets printed and that maybe more than a few people will have their eyes opened.

Oh,and I thought you'd appreciate this more than most, its a wikipedia quote about the leadup to the Mexican-American War

Hey, thanks for pointing that out. LOL!!! Yes, Puerto Rico would make a good 50th, but they also have an independence movement. Just give it to DC or let Western Mass break away from eastern Masshole land.

Gotta love that quote from Wiki. But is it true? Actual? Factual? Well researched? OR does it abound in the might that is TRUTHINESS?!

from what I recall of my American history it is fairly factual,or at least commonly accepted.Which of course doesnt necessarily mean its right, just that we want it to be
