Wow things are really developing now.

Nice to have some background on Merlin's uncle.

I did enjoy the Doctor Who references.

And I see Mordred has made his first apperance. That can't be good. I'm also worried about poor Arthur.

Yeah they are. :) I guess my hope to keep to a 5,000 word limit for each chapter didn't happen. :o But I wanted to move things along, so this is the result. And I was going for a theme...fathers, brothers, blood; so I had to keep everything in ( ... )

Thanks for the update! I'm worried about Arthur though, interactions with The Rider are never good :( And Arthur's dream - how awful! At least Arthur's with Merlin now (even if Merlin doesn't completely remember) and they still care for one another. ;)

Mordred and Bran's altercation has me worried, but at least Bran seems okay for now. I look forward to reading more!

You're welcome. :) Thanks for reading. Yeah, poor Arthur. He's just not going to catch a break...but I at least wanted him and Merlin to have a nice reunion. So it's not all bad.

Well, on the upside, at least Mordred isn't Bran's half-brother or anything like that. But they are naturally predisposed to be bothered by one another. There will be a twist with Mordred's character in the next chapter. I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. :)

NOOO BRAN DON'T GIVE HIM YOUR BLOOD!

So many twists and turns in this! I didn't see the Mordred thing coming at all, or Morgana's betrayal. I also had to giggle at Bran's little Merlin crush there, and Arthur not being too sure about that. I'm so glad Merlin and Arthur are together now, I've been dying for them to finally meet up.

So many questions still though! Not least, what is going on with Arthur's dream??! And of course Evil Mordred!

Thank you for reading. :) Considering the apocalyptic setting of this fic, I couldn't resist including Mordred in there (and have him interact with Bran). I'm close to finishing the next chapter, which will continue to have some surprises too.

I couldn't keep Merlin and Arthur away from each other for long. ;) I admit I'm still unsure when I want Merlin to fully remember his past life. It's interesting playing it like this...one remembers, the other doesn't. It may cause some tension. :(

Arthur's vampire tendencies will return unfortunately. :(

I have to say, the way you brought Mordred in was fantastic. It worked so well with the story.

Ah, poor Arthur though. Even though he remembers he's still utterly useless at protecting himself. Merlin needs to remember soon or else we dunno what more trouble Arthur will get into.

Thank you! I'm glad you like how I brought Mordred into the story. I thought it'd work best since I wanted someone Will and Bran's age, but who was born in the reality where the apocalypse is occurring. I wanted there to be a sort of odd trio amongst Will, Bran and Mordred where Mordred, of course, creates tension, which makes things more interesting. And to continue the trend of messing around with Arthur, I thought to have the Arthur/Morgana = Mordred thing. We're dealing with Arthurian legend characters after all, so why not ( ... )
