I've said this before, but it obviously needs to be repeated. I keep hearing the same argument from people, who aren't understanding how the world of capitalism and environmentalism works. This short article is designed to put things in perspective for you passive-activists out there

I have been hearing a lot about how eating raw is the way to clear up a lot of diseases and ailments, and I have my own experience to confirm that there really is something to this. Anyway, consuming lots of animal protein/fat has been linked to various ailments like cancer and heart disease. I think that information is freely available. Anyway, since treating these diseases adds to our ultimate health care costs, maybe there should be a tax on meat like there is a tax on cigarettes and alcohol. You mentioned that people respond to their pocketbook, and I think this is also true. I don't think most people make changes in their lifestyle because it's the right thing to do for themselves, others and the environment. They need a financial incentive
