studying physics tonight. I am studying light. properties of light, reflection, refraction, diffusion and so forth. How different atoms vibrate at corresponding frequencies to reflect color. I went outside, sat in my chaise lounge chair, and just did some rudimentary arithmetic calculations of the distance from myself to the moon. the distance ( Read more... )

Want to hear something freaky?

If the sun burns out, we won't know for 7 minutes.

how cool would that be, every bible thumper would freak out at the same time. but do you think it would just burn out, or would it supernova? scientist being divided or just plain not knowing would not suprise me, but something in my mind is telling me the last time i ever learned anything about stars was that they supernova before they die.

i think the debate is in whether or not the sun is BIG enough to create a supernova....so i don't know....
