I've had similar experiences with first impressions (though I think your experience is much more healthy). I'm notorious for having bad first impressions of people. Case-and-point, this summer meeting all of the interns as they showed up one by one. I *instantly* start impressing all of these images and assumptions when I see them. The intern Jamie walked into my apartment for the first time, tall, athletic, southern accent, and I immediately impressed "dumb jock who will inevitably be an ass to me for being gay" into my mind. He's actually really cool, and I'm embarrassed at what I initially thought. This is something I really should work to overcome. I think of all the people I've potentially throw off, and what great friends I've possibly missed out on knowing. Tragic.
that was beautiful! I'm so glad we're friends, course i don't know how much i helped with the voting and liking yellowcard thing.... but i'm still glad we became friends! You're the best! YAY for random road trips!
