If he is your cat then you should be able to take him back. Cats are more resilliant than your ex thinks.

I don't believe it, M! He has them conned into believing he's weak so they'll give him caviar. Do not listen to them. Pounce is fine and very strong. At least he was last time I saw him, which was last year. He was very verbal, very affectionate, and even a little playful with me (but I bring that out in animals). I can't imagine he's declined that much. He's inevitably not going to get the attention he's used to once the baby starts getting more interactive and involved in stuff ( ... )
