I think the mod post was partially directed at me as well, though. And while I don't want to have to censor myself, I would rather not get banned from the community for talking about things on my journal.

It IS my journal, but I still love the community, despite some people being jerks. =) And I am glad you came back! *hugs*

Sweetheart, I fear you either have wrong or grossly exaggerated information.

I have no idea how one would even reason that it is possible for moderators of a community to ban members for what they do outside of said community.

I was under the impression from Jess' public post (which was shown to me last night when it went up) that there were penalties for it, but I'm guessing it's mostly for officials?

Regardless, I don't want to be part of spreading hate anymore, and it feels like that is unintentionally what I've been doing, even when I feel my rants are justified.
